At the end of April Tiki will be going to Israel. The purpose of this trip is threefold. First, she will be visiting her sister and other family members who live in Israel; secondly, she will be making a connection with investors living in Israel who have expressed a desire to invest in real estate here in California; and third, Tiki will be working along with others on her charitible organization to help the children of Israel, Tohar Ve Tikva (Purity and Hope).

Tiki Greenberg reports that although foreclosures are up only slightly since the first of the year, notices of default have skyrocketed. A notice of default is filed when a borrower is late with a mortage payment three months in a row. The banks will work with these borrowers to help the homeowners to get back on track with their payments, so most of thes NOD's never turn into foreclosures.

Tiki is involved in a program in Israel to feed the hungry children. This organization is called Tohar and Tikva, which means purity and hope, and was started during the summer of 2006 after the war escalated. It is comprised entirely of volunteers. Ten students from Haifa, Israel, including Tiki's nephew, Nir Hen, are among the group's founders. Nir is the son of Tiki's sister, who is currently living in Israel. The goal of the group is to form a non-profit organization in the United States to start a fundraising effort. In mid-February there will be a DVD released showing what is happening and the work that is being done.
